Being Pregnant

Being pregnant is the desire of every woman who wishes for a child. An unprotected sexual intercourse between 2 physically health persons can lead to pregnancy. Several strategies can be developed to increase the chance of being pregnant. Chances of being pregnant are high if the intercourse occurs in the middle of the fertile menstrual cycle (between 8 & 19 days). Right after conception, the hormonal level changes resulting in change in emotions. These are the initial signs of being pregnant. However, depending upon the individual, the signs and symptoms of being pregnant can vary. Normally, spotting (improper vaginal bleeding) & sometimes cramping can be regarded as one of the early symptoms of being pregnant. In addition, milky vaginal discharge, breast changes, vomiting etc are the other symptoms of being pregnant. Although this is the case, there is virtually debate on 'what are the first signs of being pregnant'. Symptoms can vary from person to person & so each woman may experience different first symptoms of being pregnant. Therefore, a clear-cut idea can't be stated regarding the first symptom of being pregnant. However, it is common for almost all women to be tired of being pregnant from their 37th week. Normal gestation period is 40weeks.

Even though this is the normal case, there are people who experiences fertility problems. Many treatments like In-Vitro Fertilization techniques have been developed. However, many methods have side-effects of being pregnant. IVF treatment, for example has higher chances of being pregnant with twins.
